Hello everybody, and welcome to Movies, Math, and More Monday!
First, Jennifer gives us her review of the classic movie Babe.
Next, Andy recommends the book Auggie and Me, which is the sequel to Wonder, told from the point of view of three different characters.
Bonus math questions. Get an extra point each for answering these questions:
• Andy used to have 10 trees in his yard. It would take him 25 hour to rake up all the leaves every fall. At that rate, how long will it take him to rake now that he only has 2 trees?
• Jennifer collects apples from a tree in her yard every autumn. She gives 35 to her family, feeds deer with 42, and eats 14 herself. What is the Greatest Common Factor of these numbers?
To send us your answers, you can fill out the message form on the Contact page above or send an email to any YEP advisor. All our email addresses are on the Contact page as well. However we get your answers, we’ll make sure you get your points.
Thanks, and have a great day,
The YEP Team
