Hello everybody, and welcome to Movies, Math, and More Monday!
With this week’s focus on National and State parks, we will once more skip talking about movies in exchange for discussion of some fantastic outdoor opportunities.
Let’s kick the week off with Jennifer, who has visited 23 National Parks all over the country, telling us a bit about some of those amazing trips!
For those who might be looking for something a little closer, Kenzie tells us about the beautiful Interstate Park, located on the Minnesota border, less than 1.5 hours from all of our YEP schools.
Bonus math questions. Get an extra point each for answering these questions:
- Jennifer has visited 23 National Parks over 15 years. At that pace, how many total years would it take her to visit all 62 National Parks?
- Devils Lake State Park is the largest in Wisconsin, at about 9,200 acres. There are 43,560 square feet in an acre. How many total square feet is the park?
To send us your answers, you can fill out the message form on the Contact page above or send an email to any YEP advisor. All our email addresses are on the Contact page as well. However we get your answers, we’ll make sure you get your points.
Thanks, and have a great day,
The YEP Team
Andy, Jennifer, Kathy, and Kenzie
